Deeply Viol by Helen Thomson
VIP CONCERT REWARD – here’s the date!!
Hello dear Deeply Viol supporters!
It is my great pleasure to announce three things:
1) using some of the funds raised, my dear colleague David Malone has been able to purchase a gorgeous Renaissance lute. he has restrung and tweaked it in various ways, and it is sounding magnificent!! Pictures to follow.
2) last week, the violone finally arrived in Tasmania!!!!! it has since been in the workshop of Adam Edwards, Churchill fellow and luthier, for set-up. Pics to follow!!! That work being now almost complete, the instrument will soon be playable, and Helen will duly proceed to play it like a possessed maniac. Because…
3) Now that the violone has arrived, we have been able to set a date for the VIP reward concert!! Thank you all so much for your patience.
The concert will take place at 2 p.m. on Saturday August 18, at the Wesley Hall, 56-58 Melville Street in Hobart.
Look forward to seeing many of you there!
